If you are familiar with the password manager LastPass and if you are a customer of the electronics store coolblue, then you will have probably noticed that while shopping around on this site you get send to a bunch of different domains, depending on what you want to buy. Last I counted they had 161 domain names for their different stores.
While LastPass will save the credentials for the site coolblue.be, it won’t fill in those credentials at ssdcenter.be for instance and why should it, it doesn’t know these 2 domains are in fact the same.
This is where the equivalent domains setting comes in to play. It tells LastPass that 2 domains have the same credentials, but adding them by hand is a bit of a daunting task.
For this reason I wrote a little c# program that will search for these domain names for you and present it in a format LastPass will understand.
