South Simcoe Railway

Going to shop at Target today and stopping at the Brantford train station to take some pictures mostly for my dad who is a huge train fan. Next up heading to Brantford in our trusted rental car (a Nissan Rogue), which we named Sofie :-). Next stop at a small town called Caledon. Then just before the city of Guelph we stopped again to take some scenery pictures. The river you see is called “Speed river”.

Today we went exploring a bit and went shopping in Walmart for the first time. Next up exploring the beach area. Enjoying the rest of a beautiful day (around 30°C) and snapping pictures like crazy, things are so different here then in Europe/Belgium.

Parry Sound and the 30.000 Island Cruise

We drove to Parry Sound today, a small town north of Wasaga beach. It is well know for its 30.000 island cruise on board of the “the Island Queen”, a small river cruise ship. The ship takes you on a journey on Georgian Bay and shows you tons of small and bigger islands. Heading back to the harbor after a two hour cruise. The weather was nice although a bit windy. My first trip crossing the ocean. I started off in Belgium’s international airport at around 5 am. For a plane to take me to Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.
